First - this is not a picture of me. It's a picture of Megan, my hairdresser. I do wish it were me or that we shared some features because I think she's pretty, but it's not ...

So anyway ...

For the past two weeks, I've wanted to get my hair done. I am very persistent on staying with Megan, although I haven't been able to afford getting my hair done.

I got a gift certificate to a spa for Christmas from Sarah. So I looked around for some hairdressers through the spas and found a few that had them ... nothing worked out for two weeks, so I figured I was meant to stay with Megan this time around, even though I was running short on cash.

Today I had a day off from work and felt a little low. I had an appointment that was a bit disappointing and simply felt physically down. So I called the salon, asked if she were working and went in.

Each time I see her, I tell her to do whatever she'd like to with my hair - I trust her that much. She will suggest a few things and I will say - "whatever you'd like to do will be fine." and so now she doesn't suggest anything, she just goes for it.

Today I went in and we chatted a bit, actually a lot ... which has been happening the last few visits. I finally started "talking" to her and I've been seeing her for about 2 years. We chatted about music, dating, her new man, etc.

She decided to do something completely different with my hair and I will fully admit it was the first time I was nervous with her! She put in the usual highlights, a bit lighter this time, but then pulled out some more dye and put it all over the rest of my hair. My eyes got big and I gasped looking in the mirror. She told me not to be nervous, that it would be fine and that I'd look hot! So silly ... and as I stared intently into the mirror, she said that she's punch me if I freaked anymore. I died laughing ... it was something I would say!

So now, I have light blonde-ish highlights with a chestnut background. It's actually very nice. She layered more and thinned out my hair. It's still very thick, but I love it.

I talk about Megan every so often and now I get to show her, although I never asked to use her picture, so it's illegally being posted here!
