Trip to Asia - The Quest for Harmony

Your brick story

As I was really looking forward for it, tonight I have watched that FANTASTIC documentary. It was a sneak preview, in an open air cinema under the stars. The night was mild after a warm sunny day (yes Roze, you're not dreaming), today was a warm and sunny day.

There are so many things I'd like to say...but...I don't know where to start. It's as if... it's as if light has reached the deep bottom of my soul. It's about music, humanity, human beings, spirituality, philosophy. There are a lot of really great frames, you enter into the life of an orchestra and its members while they are touring part of Asia and playing performances in many cities.

They are part of the best orchestra in the world, but they let you know a bit of who they are, deep inside, how they were, what do they feel during concerts while they play all together the same music. It's been a very enriching two hours. If it's going to be played at a cinema near you, I can only encourage you to go watch it. Maybe you'll be thrilled by it, maybe you wont like it, but I'm pretty sure you won't remain without feeling something very strong inside you, whatever that thng is.

For my part, I can't wait to see it again, perhaps more than one more time. Something has happened to me tonight, a good thing. I can't say what it is yet, but it is there, I feel it. It's a very rare feeling.

OS ~

Sounds wonderful ,I hope we get to see it in Oz. Daniel Barenboim has done some docos of tours and i have loved the interaction of local culture and members of the orchestra .
Did you see the movie Four Seasons ?

    Hey cate,
very lately I answer your question. I've never seen Four Seasons - you mean the 1981 film with Alan Alda ?
I don't know whether Trip to Asia will appear at a cinema near you. It has been released a month ago in the German speaking part of the country, but should come out in about one month where I live. Lucky as I am, I may even get the DVD just before that date.
Keep checking the small cinemas near you and you might be lucky.

    Cheers, OS~
