Oh that is so tough. I was 14 when my parents moved and i had to go to a new school. I felt completely dislocated and my grades sank abysmally. Have you managed to make any new friends where you are?

    Hey hopeful,

Oh yes it is really tough changing schools and trying to fit in - we moved several times as a child - and each time I felt like I became a quite different personality. And always it felt like a left a bit of me at the last place. Have you spoken about this to your parents? What would you say gives you a sense of security - how has it been lost?

    with warm wishes UM xx

Hi hopeful, a year is a long time to feel you do not belong. I am wondering. Is it the people or school you are with? How much of it is missing something you may have previously had or people you had known? Trying to compare or measure up?
I assume you feel there is no one you could talk to about your unhappiness and that is why you are here. Have you tried a teacher or indeed your family?
Hope you find your 'security' and soon. meanwhile thank you for offloading here. If it helps do more of it.
    take care

I know what it's like. I just transferred to a new high school too. just want you to know that you're not alone and that I care for you. the best thing you can do is just be yourself and try to focus on your strengths. just live it. I hope that you feel you belong soon and find your sense of security soon.
    lots of hugs and love,
    RJ

Thank you so much, everyone. I am so happy that even people whom I have never met can show me such kindness.
roze-I did made quite a lot of new friends, actually. But it might be like what summer76 said, I can't seem to find someone who I can feel comfortable to talk about my unhappiness with. It's kind of like, I don't think they will understand. And also, language is my big barrier right now, sigh. I guess that's one big reason I can't really share my feelings with the others.
uniomaid-I think I lost my sense of security when I...when I don't belong to a group. It's like I am not needed anywhere. And I do feel like I became somewhat different too.
summer76-I am really happy that this kind of website exists and glad to have found it,for I don't really feel like worrying my family.
loquacoiusRJ-thank you so much for your heart warming words. thank you(^_^)I am very glad that I am actually not alone

    Thank you,everyone.Thank you so much

Language can be a tough barrier. I speak one other language fluently and another not so well. I know how isolating that can feel. Are you having to learn another language? You can always talk here any time. Hugs roze
