  I find it easier to hold my face ready to smile (if something funny happens, or you can have that eye-contact moment without freaking anyone out!!)

  I smile! I very rarely go to London but I'm a public transport smiler. I think it's a shame that eye contact isn't 'allowed'. Interesting sidenote: train journeys are much friendlier, and conversations happen more readily if you leave the iPod off!
