  I too feel like I am going to be forever alone-I choose not to get involved in a relationship as I have had too many bad experiences-I now just blame myself it going wrong.
  I don't even bother to get sex-I have come to realize recently that I do NOT get any real affection from anywhere-Hence, being on here has had such a powerful impact on me. But I want it in real life-I want a hug from a real human. Yeah sure I kiss me sis and friends on cheeks but I mean an emotionally connected hug like you get from a partner.
  I hope you have moved on from these feelings of loneliness-I'd like to hear how you are doing.

  Sadly my loneliness is still present. I have found no solution to my pain. And I understand what you mean, about needing a human connection. Trust me....I know.

  I have even stayed off here for a few days-I became disillusioned with the support-it's powerful at the time but sadly doesn't last-I still feel alone. I don't know if anyone could fill the space. My father died and think it has mushroomed since then. I keep busy with children, family and a couple of friends(friends only by e-mail, text, phone). I swamp myself with movies and games and tv-not very good way of building a relationship eh??!!
  I am off for an assessment today with a psychiatric team and hopefully get some therapy. I'm pinning all my hopes for a turnaround on this.
  I wish I could go blindly through life not being aware of how I feel-or even filling it with things that masked it well enough.
  It's crap isn't it?
  I wish I could offer you words of encouragement and advise. I can only support you with the fact that someone feels the same way.
