  I was alone a lot, different to other kids. sometimes it was good growing up, but sometimes it was very sad and bad. I was lucky in a lot of ways, but lonely and worthless. I try hard to listen to my kids. when I was a kid, no one listened. When I tried I was ignored and when I questioned I was beaten. I will never forgive my father for the beatings. He would get out out of control , it was scary. I had to lie at school about the bruises. I don't think he knew any other way of communicating other than rule by fear. He thought I was weak and ugly. But stuff him, I survived and life goes on. He can't hurt me anymore.
