  Have you a group of friends who can support you through this? Do you have a place to live - or do you mean "Home" in a spiritual sense?

  He has pressure, but he has A LOT less than I do.. My mom is moving away and I can't go with her. Not only is it too far from work, college and everything I have planned here, but there isn't room for me in her new house. His family hates me and belittles me constantly to the point I don't even go around them anymore. My boyfriend was going to get a place with me but backed out because of his family and now I'm financially instable and scared to death.

  This is a pretty crap situation for you isn't it. Did your Mum talk to you about what she was going to do ? It sounds a harsh decision to not have made some plans for you. You are 17? And I understand about not being able to spend time at your boyfriend's family home. They clearly are conscious of their culture. And now your boyfriend has backed out. That is a shame. What are the options for you? Do you have other family or friends that you can live with? The way it works here is that if a young person isn't able to live with the family and receive support from them there is a small social payment made to help them with the costs of living. I guess that doesn't happen in the states? I wonder what other options you have and whether it is worth while contacting you church minister for help or advice. I think everyone in this situation would be scared to death. You can't be the only person in this position - there must be a way of getting through this. I will keep on thinking and I will be thinking of you UM xxx
