Your brick story

I view this picture as the start of my life. Less than a year after it was taken I was witness to my father's death at the hands of another and my on again/off again life in foster care started. It took years and much love by many people to realize, in spite of all the bad that has happened to me, somewhere, deep inside, this little girl still lives and her joy and optimism seep into my psyche.
