Your brick story

As a child, like many i sucked my fingers as a source of comfort. I feel saddened by the image of this now, knowing that comfort was hard to find back then. Uncovering these emotions is just a minute step on the road to recovery from traumas in my childhood. Thankfully, my creativity becomes my release valve.

I've just viewed this and another brick of your creation, and I am impressed. I don't know how you do it. Really awesome.
Moreover, that you are tackling the trauma of your childhood, and your deeply painful feelings in this way is so worthwhile.
I paint occasionally still, but it would seem, when I am open to it, that writing is my method of self expreesion. So, when I want to share something here, (tagged 'accademy') the picture won't be of the high quality images yours are - but I hope you will read the writing behind. I have had to deal with childhood abuses, battered emotions, and continue to do so now. So what I post here may well be of interest to you.
Hold tight, and hang on - I don't have to tell you it's a bumpy ride.

I still suck my fingers. Usually when I'm not thinking about it at all, or when I'm tired and curled up on the sofa watching tv. But I too remember how hard it was to find any comfort as a child. The world can be cruel sometimes.
