Your brick story

How can you even say you have a right to know what's going on in my life? What gives you the right to hate me? You want to take credit for the things I do that PLEASE you, you want to BRAG about my abilities, but you haven't earned that!

You tell everyone what a perfect daughter you've raised, and then you come home just to tell me that you hate me- that I should die. You think you can tell me what to do now, but you can't. You haven't earned the title "Mother," and that means you don't have the power that comes with the position.

Hit me, scream at me, make me cry. I don't care. You can say it all you want, just because you know that's what wounds me deepest, but reality is, I AM NOT YOU.

You can't break me.

This is a very powerful brick. I read it and it reminds me of something I might say to my own mother. Going back and looking on our childhood is a lot tougher and sadder than I ever imagined - feelings and realizations come up that we finally understand. I'm sorry that you've found yourself with this pain and uncaring in your life.
Sending many hugs your way, Inspire xx

    Thanks. ^-^
You know, I've decided that I can't let my childhood define me as a person.
It hurts to remember, but I've got people who love me, and they help me move forward.
Smile lots, because you don't know when you won't be able to anymore.
    Lots of love, ROMH

"Smile lots, because you don't know when you won't be able to anymore." What a gem, the words and you, ROMH.

I thought about my step-mother and my mother and my father too, like you do now. Still, it is hard to live it...to keep strong, with kind and loving support, I think you'll do a lot better than me...I believe that. I'm not trying to flatter you and seh, just tell it like I see it...what you have between you is stronger than the horrors of your lives, what you've lived and survived.

    I'll hold you.
    When you cry,
    When you want to,
And when you're absolutely perfectly content.
    Whenever.
    Promise.
I never have, and never will see you as weak, love.
In fact, you're one of the strongest people I know.
    I love you.
