Your brick story

I don't want to blame my mother, but I can't help it. She gets so drunk, and the stuff she says hits me so hard. Today, after she finished yelling at me, I had to fight with myself to stay away from the pills, from the blades, from the hand gun. Usually, I can take it. She can't hurt me.

But for some reason, I'm slipping back into that darkness. My mind is begging for some type of harm, and her words provide the deep, cutting hurt that gives me the motivation to do it.

I cut today.

You are a wonderful young woman and your mother has hurt you enough. Don't give her any more power over you. She isn't nurturing you.
Every time you allow her words to hurt you on the inside she is maintaining power over her. She is deserving of your pity - not your attention. Is there someone from within your community that you see as a role model that you can talk and listen to?
I wonder if you and Seh sat down and thought about how this stuff starts could there be a way to redirect it elsewhere? Or buy yourself some industrial earplugs so you can't hear her! She can't seem to see your beauty - she is too deeply caught in her own darkness. lots of love UMxxx
