  All the silly little things, like driving around the local streets of South London watching out for bus lanes, speed cameras and taking dogs to the park. But not when it is of real importance, like someone who fell in dramatic style or rushing them to hospital.

  I keep getting messages on facebook from an old fart I used to work with in the Civil Service. His "Wife doesn't understand him" supposedly! I put my page on a privacy setting and deleted his e-mails, I also e-mailed customer services and said that although the man has not harassed me I do not want him near my profile. I tried blocking him on the system but there are so many people with the same name and no network; it is impossible to locate the right man.

  I've come a long way since those days in the Public Sector (when I was very ill and depressed and had no insight into my condition or the fool I was making of myself) and think I've earned a break, both from myself and others!! Sorry to babble but am having a weekend of it! Bet you wished you hadn't asked!

  I think I would find that kind of freaky too - the being emailed by someone that you don't want to get messages from - particularly if they are from a time that you would rather leave in the past.

  I am sure you have told him not to contact you again and I very much hope he respects your wishes. It must have caused you a fair amount of turmoil though .... particularly on such a wet, windy and pretty miserable day like today!

  And I am very pleased I asked - and I hope that the rest of your weekend gets better.
