Your brick story

This is the 4th ship of Mebenji's Navy.

This is a different ship, a Ship of the Desert. I thought that Admiral/Captain Mebenji needed other kinds of vessels - other strings to her bow - because life is not always at sea, sometimes we struggle/stumble into a desert.

Therefore - without any more adoing or toing or froing - I gift you one more ship my friend to aid you on your journey, and help to bring you home safe.

May all who said in the Ship of the Desert be at least Octagonally Blessed - and may no sandstorms lay them low - may the desert they sail be starred with wild flowers, and may friends rise up to greet them, wherever they go.

Oh my, Camal-ships now...although deserts aren't altogether foreign to my mind, they are rare...I am mostly at sea, Jomo.
I only can think of a dream of people who lived in the desert, diving the dunes and swimming through the sand. They communicated telepathically, mostly in pictures and emotion, and were not capable of speech - and did not have need of it. The poeple of my dream, called the 'Sandies' (obviously but not by themselves), by the majority of people on the planet, were sometimes subjected to scientific research against their will. Treated like any other lab animal. They were sometimes hunted, darted, dragged into a complex of buildings and kept in small cells until the researchers required one to do a test on. It was an interestng, complicated and very scary dream. I was one of the Sandies who had been captured. I had relatives and friends, I fretted for them, I tried to call out to them to warn them away or to help me - I was so confused I didn't know what I was calling out to them from my mind. I showed them (if they had recieved my thoughts) images of the place, the surroundings in particular, because the builtings were mostly hidden, undertground, and could not be easily spotted above. I couldn't help but show them what these people did to me.

Thanks for the brick and the ship. "Wildflower" sounds a good name. Hope you like - I think it would suit you too.

Oh gosh have i missed the other three? I want to see them. I like camels. Have ridden on them in deserts. Find them calming if in need of dental work! Rxx

    I'm a little prairie flower
    Growing wilder hour by hour
    No-one cares to cultivate me
I'm as wild, as wild can be.

We used to sing that, ages ago!

Did you send Roze links to the other three ships, or shall I do it? I think she should know what sort of a Navy you are accumulating, eh!

You don't have to be crew - passengers are welcome also. I am sure that Mebenji has a lovely cabin just right for ya - and Roze - if you need a low Crow's Nest, we can do, we can do ANYTHING!

    Hi Jomo

Thanks for the links to the 3 ships. Pig ship and gladdi ship fascinating – what on earth did you google to find those?

I love that the first sentence of the first ship is: “This vessel is full of great harmony”..

Will observe and read all mariners tales but won’t request invitation to embark – it’s all far too taxing for my brain.

    Love Harmony

    Ah, ahoy there, pretty darlin'
& don't be mistakin' me gruff manner -
it's not ya mind I was after,
but all those pretty colours to adorn me walls,
in every state room and cabin,
    from the boiler room's batheroom
to the ball room's billiard room!
& come read to me once in a while
    I love hearing stories
    - they make me smie.

    & roze, me luv,
all ya need is a comfy grassy deck hill
to lay back upon, with ya daughter
and whoever wants to join ya
    - & take ya time,
    make stories & rhyme....
on which ever boat ya wish...
or yer own little canoe-ish wish ...

    where's me crew?
Ah, I forget who, where what doing when
& how or with whom on what....

    Some-one's spiked me rum...
    with rum...ho humm,
    hUh'hmm...huh'huh'hummm...
No laughting, 'cause I can't wistle...

    Well this is ONE way
to learn how to trust -
    put me in charge,
help me forget of who & what
& wait for me to see
it doesn't all fall apart at the seems ...
o, to live a life of paradoxical dreams...

Can I still be, Mebenji Mehartyz, Still...
    still, calm, resting, at peace,
    just still....trusting turtle...
    not even watching,
    not guiding,
    not making rules,
    nor ordering about...
    I can trust my crew
    to sort themselves out!

    Hi Mebenji

I do hope that if you haven't written a book yet, that you will be doing at some point.

Now then, you know my weak spots, don't you??? Colours I could perhaps provide.

I can't do fantasies - not enough space left in my brain - but you can have all the colours you could wish for.

    XH

& I wish for All of them, even the ultraviolets, the infrared and the iridescents and the glow-in-the-dark variety. Even the colours that are sounds and X-rays (provided you can make them safe - I don't want to spend my life in lead undies). (& since we can do anything - of-course you can!)
I write bits and pieces. I don't know if I will ever get them to all hold together as a book. One day - Or I might just say what the heck and start posting everything here and not worry about maintaining ownership, copyright, etc...I would like my writing to be in the world. I wish my profile would begin working better. I did write up little poems here and there. Bricks, Teary Again, The Colour of Her Eyes, The Bear is sort of a poem, like this above, off the top of head stuff...seems to work like your colours - it comes out of me without my really thinking or planning - I was just watching for mistyping so I didn't have to fix too much afterwards.
    Thanks for the compliment. :)
