Brick created on 16/07/2008 @ 10:18

Your brick story

Mebenji, Unionmaid, and Jomo, playing square marbles in Jomo's cosy place. Jomo cheats, she has to, because she is a Galah, and has no fingers. Unionmaid is a cat with a flash yella bow-tie, and is on top of the game. Mebenji is on top of the beautiful lavender-bag purple cushion, and is clothed in soft garments to keep her warm and safe. Jomo will probably win the game, because, like I said, she is cheating and anyway is the only one who knows how to play square marbles and is getting away with all sorts. Besides, it is my brick, so I have to win, yeah?

Good that Mebenji is keeping herself nice :)

I love the bean bag that she is sitting on and I have never looked so good in yellow in my whole life.

    So glad you are back and we can get into some games - I don't mind who wins - I just am happy to hang out :}

I don't mind who wins either. But then, no-one wins at square marbles it is a lose/lose situation!

Yes, I put Mebenji on a purple cushion because her new brick has a purple bean-bag with Wil on it...

My little grey attack-guard-cat is now mentally called by your 'other' name, even though he is a bloke cat. He doesn't mind, he is quietly proud to have achieved name-hood at last.

    Dear Wolfie and Roze
I am sure that you are both aware that Bonkers is played with square conkers, not square marbles. When that game is afoot, the Galah also always wins that, due to incipient and repeated cheating. What can you do? Bloody Galahs! All the same with the cheating.

Maid - this is on the couch on a warm blanket, no harm will come to Mebenji's little furry toes. I promise.

Chili nuts sounds good. Got any black jelly-beans? I really, really, hanker after colts-foot rock, anyone in the UK know where to get that? Euchre - used to play with my Gran I think - 500-ish?

Gotta go and find some square conkers...

Did you watch the cook and the chef last night Jo? the best bit of information... square kiwi fruit are more flavourful than the round ones! Here I was thinking that the square ones were a bit odd - we don't get them often because they are sent to the UK - maybe they cook them ? Anyhow felt the need to share this with you.

Bjelke Petersen used to be one of the big growers back when I was a young person. Wouldn't eat them then!

Didn't watch TV last night - was alone at last, so just turned into Pod person.

Oh that cheeky, Jomo - didn't you tell her what you did? Shall I?

Yes - She startled the crap out of me, she did! MY PHONE rang - I was gonna talk to her like she was a phone sales person (I have put my name of the 'do not call register'), but I still thought, wondered who the hell would be phoning me - it was HER!
Cheeky, cheeky :) but made me smile so much I forgave the intrusion instantly. I'd come back late, went shopping after seeing DrAC - for the last time! I do not feel bad today (maybe that is because of the Sydney International Piano Competition - I don't know and don't care) So....

& no, I didn't see The Cook and the Chef either - must have been out with Nikki still, at that time. Can't resist when she waits, while I check my mail box...

I've been checking out all the recent bricks...comments on some...so I still haven't written for myself yet.

Had a lovely snoose here last night, though - like to sleep over all the time! I must've been really tired...you guys bearly woke me at all... I must be getting really comfortable with you.

Are Galahs cheeky or are they so naturally intelligent and inquisitive we mere cats and rabbits do not understand them? Oh I love them - where I grew up in the dust on the edge of the Darling Downs - we would have hundred and hundreds of them each night to sleep in the gum trees at the back of the house - such a racket.

Pillow fighting is I am sure okay as long as none of the pillow are make of kapoc. very hard to clean up.

Phone calls - I think that the sales marketing people are getting ruder and ruder! One wanted to argue with me because when she told me she understood it was so important to build wealth during my life - and of course I disagreed saying that I was not interested in being a cog in the wheels of capitalism but wanted to just be happy - I think she is considering sending out the psych unit. Absolutely beyond her comprehension - thought I was lying. Daughter and Son were highly amused. Daughter refuses to pass on the telephone if it is a telemarketer. She tells them it is she that will suffer from the devastating effects of being disturbed by nonsense phone calls. Now she has started arguing with them :(Where does on but square marbles? I also want a cuisinaire set too.

Hey benj, you survived the conversation with DRAC - I'm very proud of your courage and resilience.

I do surely hope you did have good dreams, everyone - I sent out a mass request last night. Before I finally went to bed, I was reading Roze's very sad TA about 'Jessica' (I realised I saw the title to that and mistook it for the TA about her need of a costume rescue - your suggestion was great, UM! - so hadn't looked until last night.) So while I cried, I sent a wishes for us all to meet and have a wonderful dreams together, including 'Jessica'. That's as close to preying as I ever get. And if you guys didn't I am going to be so pissed off if when I die, there actually is God up in Heaven - I am going to punch him and tell him to "Go to Hell - preferably like the Hells so many children live in!"

Hey Jo and Benj and UM - i have no idea what half the references are around this brick - think you are going to have to do a glossary on a brick one of these days. But i do have an idea that you care a lot about what is happening with Jessica. I am about to try to call the helpline again - it is going in circles in my head.

Jessica spent most of the last two days with us and will be with us again from 9am tomorrow. I can see, in some ways, that this is the greatest help to her mum who i really believe tries her best - but is very stretched herself. Perhaps if she sees Jessica less she will be kinder when she does see her?

I will let you all know what the helpline says on the ta - just wanted to pop into square conker bonkers land to say i care about you all very much (even if you do eat tofu!). love roze

We eat tofu because it is square and therefore matches the marbles, the square dinner plates and the square spoons we use to make the music we play!

I've heard that one person, who shows love and care, who the child can trust in their lives can make all the difference to whether the child learns resilience to persevere where others who never have one person such as this, lose their way, and lose hope, and lose the fight.

That's something I picked up somewhere along the way - I never quite recall where or when - but I think your love and care and that she feels you and your daughter can be trusted is valuable. I feel sure of that much. There should only be more people like yourself, who are willing to get involved. You are a hero in my heart, roze.

I just thought, I don't think I've ever had a hero in my heart before... (((((many, many hugs))))) roze.

I DO NOT EAT TOFU. Just clearing that up, folks! Though I am sure I would, should I be starving.

Roze - if the child is loved, then she has one great advantage. Being abused, neglected, abandoned, underfed, is dreadful and cruel, but love is a powerful tool. I don't know what you would do - I have been in similiar situations, and made reports to child welfare to see nothing happen at all - there are not enough welfare officers, not well trained enough, not enough money, not enough good foster parents - I often wonder if mentoring would be better in some ways. Do you think that would help - not that I suggest you say this to the mother, but that you can somehow try to offer respite by taking an interest, and setting some sort of example?

I don't know. But I do know that the smallest acts of kindness and sharing can reap great rewards for all - good luck.

    Love

I want to give im a wedy with my Anony-ghostly powers! and tip his laundry all down the length of the street!, and hang some from the power lines! :) Oh joy, what fun!

And those who slam doors and bash on them and rev their cars OOOO oooo OOOO they are getting loads of Baked Beans in their cars so the cops pull them over and take their cars away.

Oh, the door-noisy, sometimes arguementative and violent, drunk and or no drugs - how to haunt them, Jomo? They are out to lunch already without a credit card! What can I do jomo?

I am sorry you have bad neighbours - we had awful people next door here a while ago, screaming dreadful language. Brrrr.

I am waiting myself for "social" housing for people with a disability - don't know how long I will have to wait - but I expect to have trouble like that, wherever I go - it is life in this world.

As for hugging non-Anonyghosts - hmmm. They might just get a fit of the shivers?

Yeah Jomo, did you see the recent Bricks, another Anony-ghost has posted a beautiful brick, "Dream. The Decorated Collar" - has a story on it! I haven't read it all yet, (Will listen soon maybe, maybe tomorrow.)

UM was here this morning by the way...I don't know what else was happening for her today though.

I would like to make Dream Bricks, Dream inspired stories too. I have one more or less finished here somewhere I could post one day (there's a waiting list forming, and it is in the queue...)

I have had a fantasy about haunting people! I'd love to do it, no consequences to worry over...! Inspire might enjoy this idea too, huh?

Piano and computer for me all day today and now piano has ended for tonight - I am just now hearing glass instruments. I love the eerie sound of glass instruments.

I am really getting very tired right now. Oh, shivers can feel really, really nice, Jomo, do you agree? Let's try to give shivers to Bear! I sometimes think he is too serious, and needs his muscles relaxed. Don't know why I think that - just do.

I am, though I ought not, going to have a cuppa, finish checking out emails, email you and UM (Just to say "Good Night" tonight. and ONLY if the cuppa revives me enough will I still be up at midnight.

Wish your daughter a safe delivery of Bubby, for me...

and last bit for now, I really don't simply like Real World people so much usually. And the people who decide on what people with disabilities need in terms of 'Social' Housing, last time when I moved her, did not take a person's mental health problems into consideration. I recently got one of their so called 'news letters' (not terribly informative really, just a waste of paper I think) They did mention this time that the way they are assessing clients is about to change - no details of WHAT the changes are...(does that surprise me? NOT)
People currently on waiting lists will be effected by their changes. I do hope they are improving how they do the assessments - but I am cynical in this.(Hey, I'm 'channelling UM!)

Later mate. I can come back here to sleep please?

Yeah - I have been re-assessed already, my doctor has had to re-do my complete form, took an entire session, 45 minutes, to sort it out - they certainly are considering my mental illness as one of, if not the most, severe of my disabilities - so the consequence of that is that I no longer have any say in where I go - cannot choose suburbs - because there is only certain places where they have housing for peeps 'like me' and that is what I get - not a problem for me, actually, but for some I imagine it would be.

Channelling Maid, eh - could be worse. I can think of far worse people to be in sync with!

AND - I am a real person, dammit! In the Real World, so there. And we are already friends, so you will have to readjust your paramaters, ghostie!

Jomo, seems you misunderstood a tad - tad about what I say about Real World people. Firstly I did say I USUALLY don't like them so much - indeed, more usually I am not even so interested in them, their thoughts, feelings or lives - not like I am with Real people here. And I never think you are not a Real person her or In the Real World, YOU, Jomo-Friend-(insert Real person name here) are a Real person here, and A Real World person also of the Real World out there - ALL of us co-exist in this BWW world of our own making, and in the Real World simultaneously, even if our form fluctuates from time to time into being Anony-ghosts so we roam much more widely, freely with impunity to strike with malicious intent or flagrant mischievous playfulness, as we are sometime wont to do.

Have I made myself clear? People here are exceptions to my general world view, expectations etc ... which I don't really understand why or how (and so quickly too!)

If I have not made my absolute acceptance of you as a Real person, will some XXX of these XXXXXX convince you? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

About the Anony-ghost references here and there. Briefly, unintentionally, Jomo was an Anony-ghost. She's come back to life, however - sorry it now looks a confused bit of gibberish if you don't have the back-story. That's about the gist of it, though.
I do suppose even haunting the literal crap out of politicians may get boring after a while...although, if Anony-ghosts have no sense of past, or future - do not experience them without the capacity to do so - would not that mean they would truly exist in the moment, each moment, and not be bored by anything done googleplex numbers of times? For them, each time would always be the first, one and only time. Each would be a novel experience.

Yay! By my own logic, I conclude, I wanna be an Anony-ghost!

    Glad to see ya, UM.

An anony ghost - you really want that - no way I am really looking forward to a great calmness of nothing. To be fair I think my life already has had a similar effect on some of being haunted - or so they have suggested. After a while it just gets harder to get the reactions kind of like around here when I reckon one of the spirits wanders around too slowly and I notice them - at first it used to spook me now - well it is so ho hum.

But if I was going to be an anony ghost I would be so happy in the new Parliament House. A lovely building and so wonderfullly light with so many windows. I think I would choose to haunt the journalists. that would suit me . UM xx

Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, a Sensitive New Age Guy? Wonders never cease. Or else Mebenji is winding me up - which is more likely....

Hah. I am too old. What did my Gran used to say? Ummm - "You don't catch old birds with straw" - whatever THAT meant!

    Ahhhh - the internal haunting...

    Cue: Pan pipes

Enter Stage Left: The tinker with his three legged donkey, singing a slow sweet melody in A bowl of soup. [That was all he had to sing in, so don't be too hard on him, he is only a poor tinker's donkey, after all].

The moon rises, and over the brow of the hill comes DrAC, trailing garlic and wailing because he has come to see the Error of His Ways, but they were out having a Pizza, so he had to go home alone.

Sadly, the dog never survived the ordeal, and the Tinker swore off soup forever.

    The End.

I just know all silly sausages are snags! Thorn is a silly sausage. Therefore, Thorn is a snag!

The End? How will I get my revenge? You didn't even let me into the scene...!
darn it, dearest Jomo - you were too kind to him. You let him off the hook so easily!

In a crazy way all I felt was a real sting of sadness for the dog. Why did the dog have to die. bugger DrAC and his garlic

Perhaps the role of the dog was only to be a witness to the home-aloneness of DrAC, and thereafter he had done what he was created for, and was free to join the Universe?

Feel not the sting for the dog - the dog is beyond all care, and shines his light in another sky...

Oh, I just noticed I typed 'ThorN'; twice! I never noticed...I certainly am not refrrring to Thorn of BBW. I meant, of-course to write 'Thor' only.
