Your brick story

Where is the tent tonight?
On Swon's lawn or in Kenya?
Or at the base of Uluru?
Could be adrift on the sea,
or underneath a desert sky?
Could be on the moon -
though I can't imagine why.

Who's in the tent tonight?
Someone left behind,
because they didn't want to go?
Or some one bannished there
'cause they didn't know how to play fair?
Or some one sick who now is quarrentined?
Or some one we put out there,
because we wanted to be mean?
Or is some one who
simply likes to camp out doors,
or is that some one who loudly snores
and snores and snores!??

You decide! (but don't phone your votes into anyone....)

You really think those are her feet, UM?

How are you? Not wanting a tent of your own for a little quiet solitude - perhaps?

No, no, no, NO. Honestly, you lot! If those were my feet, they would be decently covered with giant fluffy socks, and I cannot ever sleep on my back because of infirmity.

So you need to find another tentsleeper -anyway, as IF.

That person is snoring, and certain it is that I have never snored in MY ENTIRE LIFE.

    So there.

Love this brick, Mebenj - delightful. Hope that you are feeling well - lotsa luv -

Maybe this is Ian Thorpe? Can it be that we have the Thorpedo with us?

LOL! Jomo - I KNEW they couldn't be your feet -even though I think I thought I saw, just for a moment, fluffy pink socks instead of skin with toes and toenails etc...:) ah, but you still would have denied it, wouldn't you?

I know I've snored some - I've actually woken myself up hearing a loud snorting sound. Wouldn't have believed it was me except I was alone! (& little bears don't snore - ever, though I imagine they purr like little cats, like Nikki, so soft and gentle, you have to put your ear right up against their sides to hear them.) Nice little bleack kitty by the way...:) ((Hugs))

Thanks, Inspire. Sorry I rather missed your Birthday...glad to note you had a happy day though. That's good. ((Hugs))

oh, I suppose Ian Thorpe is a possibllity...he hung up his flippers a while back...so, yes, possibly...

Could it be we travelled to middle earth - they are very big feet for a very short person. Is the a Hobbit in the tent?

    Hi Ant,

I don't think it is a Hobbit either, as they have six toes on each foot. Have you read the books, The Hobbit? The Lord of the Ring trilogy?

Don't Hobbits have hairy feet, you lot? Or is the hair not visible on the soles...

That is a scrumptious camoflage tent, Mebenj - the sort you set up in a bed of riotous flowers, and then can't find again! I can just imagine that tent in the Botanical Gardens, hiding in the Petunia Patch - well, it would be able to hide in the sort of Petunia Patch that I like, all multi-coloured - most municipal gardeners like to have their colours collected in one place.

I have never understood that need for order with floral gardens.

Maybe we could hide this tent in the West Australian Desert, with the Wild Flowers?

And no, I don't know why I am hiding it, before you ask. I just always tend to seek hiding places for stuff I like. Maybe this is a Kaleidoscope tent? I like that...

And I don't believe you do snore, Mebenj - I believe that, like me, you have sometimes been woken by Thor, the god of thunder, in the distance.

I USED to think it was my own snoring that woke me up, but then when I applied my common sense, I realised that that could not be possible, so - using Sherlock Holmesian logic - eliminate the impossible, and look at the improbable - therefore, must be gods thundering in the distance!

Easy, dontcha see? I am very good at that sort of common sense, me.

Yes, Jomo, I do think Hobbitses do have hairy feet too.

    I'm enjoying all these ideas...thanks!

I thought, no military camoflauge, thanks - so I just had to make it sort of Un-camoflauged! & if this lookd bright in the night, imagine it in the day, if you might!

I wonder if you are P-sykik Jomo - I was thinking earlier how I chose my bear, kind of like finding a lonely little petuniea in an onion patch - she was the one and only purple bear in amongst all the variously brown bears. I just had to take her with me...she didn't even have a price tag so I had to stand around the service desk while staff went off to discover what price was supposed to be on her and I didn't care - I feel attracted to oddity, not 'normal'ness like that.
I rather like my flowers all mixed up as well. Wild flowers tend to be like that - only I also prefere large flowers...I'm hard to please.

At last your Royal Splodgeness. Fourth attempt. Getting apology messages and fault reported. Such kind management dont you find.
Getting a bit damp cool now here for a tent. May have to relocate to Bondi, just for the weather you understand. No it is not Sven. He always sleeps in woolies.

Fabulous creation Benji. Pleased to hear you are feeling a mite better. They say genius must suffer for it's heart. The world is a richer place

Oh yes, sorry Summer, I've been away in my head, bed, etc. Thought I was getting better, thought I was getting worse, now, I'm inbetween and not convinced either way... just been quiet or trying to find a bit of Quiet and Space around me/within me... I could sleep away all my life and not complain about it...but even there it is noisy...I've never had a silent dream...lasst night I was in a goddamn huge shopping centre/railway station/and playing some sort of video game that incorporated ME as an intergral part of the game - problems everywhere, and the staff member telling me he could fix one problem if I would like to wait 5 hours!!

I think I'd like the tent now...do get out, please!

Why hasn't Swon looked out his window? Why don'ya go knock on his door, offer him a beer or somethin'?

Swon - actually, as it is your lawn, maybe you should provide viands for the tent inhabitants?

I rather fancy a BLT, if that is okay, and also later on, maybe a hot bath, indoors? S'at okay?

Just bring out some chairs, and a couple of tables, some trays of goodies - she'll be jake, mate.

    Haaaaapy Sundaaaaay, folks in tent-town...

Hey Flit, certainly you may - being a balmy Summer/Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, I'm out in hammock, or on the road accompanying anyone on the wagon, so you can certainly have The Tent for a while, long as you like. You may even redecorate the interior; see, I painted the outside - you can paint the inside! :) Sounds good to me and no matter where it is, it really is my tent! (It's also really a TARDIS - so it is a heap bigger on the inside than what you see there, so if any or all what to use The Tent at anytime, there will always be room to either spend time there all together, or in small groups, or by yourself - there will be a space for you. I just like my hammock out the back just now. Take a wander while you're there. Tell us what you find.

    (((Hugs)))
