Losing a friend

Your brick story

This brick is basically expressing my confusion over a person who for many years was my best friend. Until we had this big fight. But since then I've started to realise that over the years she has done and said things that no friend should do or say. And now she wants to be friends again! Am I just guillable and she was like this all along or has she changed slowly into this person I don't recognised... either way I don't think I want her in my life again but it still feels so unresolved.

I doubt that you were gullible - perhaps as her friend you were prepared to tolerate some of her behaviours but after the hurt of the fight you are feeling more guarded or self protective. What are the aspects of the relationship that you feel are unresolved? ant?

hi ant thank you for your kind words. It interesting you asked me about what it was that felt unresolved because I really had to think for a while before i figured it out! I think its that I never really got a chance to say my 'piece'. In the big fight everytime I tried to defend myself or say my own point of view i was shouted down or interrupted. And now she wants to be friends again I guess I feel I've missed my chance.
