Your brick story

Happiness is completing on one of today's elephant tasks amidst ...
telephone engineers running all over the house
coffee machine going on strike
briefing meeting that was far from brief
small child feeling very tired and reluctant to go back to school
loads of emotional concern lying with others
deliveries of two loads of parcels
the gas man wanting to read the meter (actually i have to check he is not still in the cellar)
organising a week in the life of a socially active child
broadband running at the pace of a snail assailing Everest
realisation that house empty of anything edible (other than baked beans)
neurotic mother blahing on about her child's something or other for half an hour on the telephone

And elephant task two should be complete somewhere between 10pm and midnight.

I so like feeling I have done something with my day - and that little ellie is making me happy.

What a beautiful baby! One day I am going to have to find a place that I can hug one - clearly it won't be a pet. Look at that thatch of hair! It reminds me of when my son was smaller. :) UM xx

Yeah, oh goodness, the picture alone is wonderful, then you tell us your achievements in spite of frustrations out of your control (sounds like you have my 'broadband' -so to speak- ) and you still come up smiling - then find the wonderful picture and share with us! Did your daughter see it? That might not be advisable!
If the gas man is still in the cellar at this time of year and you haven't left any food (no? The Baked Beans are for the car, right?) or drink down there...you'll know soon enough whether you have forgotten him!
& to top that off, you've done more than you set out to do - you have brought some pleasure into our lives.
