  For some people meds do not work at all. Why on earth did your psych say she does not want to see you any more - sounds a bit upside down to me? Do talk with your family - it is good to know that people are there to support you. What are you thinking about as you lie in bed? big hugs roze

  I understand why she wouldn't want to see me anymore, because I missed 2 appointments- slept straight through them- and even though I didn't mean to, that's time wasted for her.
  I don't really think about a lot, I just feel lethargic and overwhelmingly sad about everything. But I do have good news! I told my regular doctor what's going on, and he gave me a new medication to try out, see how it works. I also told my sister, and she was very understanding. So I have a little bit of hope now.

  It is great that you have talked to your sister. And i understand sleeping through appointments or somehow messing them up - i did that with my therapist - i somehow feel that is part of the issue - almost not sure we are ready to really deal with what is going on. Maybe you could see if she understood that if you wanted to continue.

  Thanks. It really helps to know there are people who know and are rooting for me. It's been much of the same, sleeping and missing a lot of classes (I'm a college student). I often feel like giving up. But I am feeling a little bit stronger than I was, and having a doctor to help me find the right medication is big. I also found another therapist, a very nice lady.

  I have a new update! Thank you guys so much for listening. About a week ago, I changed to taking double the dose of my medication, and I feel so alive. It's like the difference between being asleep and awake, suddenly everything matters. Sometimes I'm like holy fuck, this is terrifying, I'm failing this test and I care, and other times I feel deeply, intensely happy, just because it's a beautiful day out. And for the first time in a long time, I don't know how, but I think everything might just work out in the end.
