Your brick story

I am like most people - don't want my outsides to show everything that is on the inside - well maybe far more private than that.

But what if I am rotten inside?

Well, from a philosophical point of view, if one looks at humanity realisitically, man's inhumanity to man is well documented so I suppose all it shows if you are is that you're human. The question is - what if you are not?

The only words that are coming to my mind are that you cannot possibly actually believe you are rotten inside. I've known you a short while but can feel how wonderful you are. You have reached out to me while I delt with some very personal and rough things. I can relate to feeling rotten inside, although I don't know exactly how you feel. I won't lie ... it is a daily struggle to convince myself that I am not "rotten" and I imagine that it would be the same for others. Just know that others don't see you this way, but I understand the feelings a bit. My heart is reaching out to you and hoping it reaches you well. Sending many hugs your way ...

I know it well too, as I think you know, and on top of it I wonder if it matters that others don't see me like I do. It's a horrible, sickly, ugly feeling. Those *)&^%+# feelings again. How I hate them - but yep, they are human. With some feelings all you can do is say, "o.k. and get back in your stinkin' box and stay there"...until next time. That's all I got until I figure out a better stratagy.

Ah, state of mind standing next to the abyss I know it well. Whenever I notice those feelings I try a few things - a hot bath, great smelling scents, paint, music, getting in touch with natural beauty i.e. walk/run or spending time with seriously pollyanna friends... the type of friend who is never never down....
the hardest thing to do sometimes is to forgive yourself being human...
best of luck I'm sure you're a wonderful person because if you weren't you wouldn't be worrying about it... hugs.

I hope that I'm not already rotten. After so much that I've been through, I can't help but to wonder if I'm any good at all anymore. You just have to remember that anything can be fixed, and anything can be healed.

I don't like your picture - because you are not rotten and brown inside. I reckon you are more like a Queensland Nut [or a Bauple Nut, never Macadamia - what the hell is that about!] hard and shiny and round and sleek and whole on the outside, and incredibly sweet and nourishing on the inside. That's what I think, me.
