That poem haunted me as an adolescent.
A year ago i could barely hold the tiller.
Now i feel relaxed at the helm.
Is living an art or what?
I love it. Cannot believe that i lost it so completely yet so grateful for what I learned.
I would not have been who i am today without the rough seas, becalmed months and surrounded by 'water water everywhere but not a drop to drink'.

To overcome our demons they must swim with us, take us into dangerous waters, make us flotsam on the power of their waves. If cast as driftwood at least we have a shore and knowledge of the oceanic depths tha have shaped us.
