Your brick story

R: ROZE!!
r: Uh please be gentle i feel a little fragile.....
R: And why would that be?
r: My naturally sensitive soul????
R: How did your naturally sensitive soul wake up today?
r: The first time at 3am lying on the sofa and still holding a glass of wine upright. Now i call that control
R: No, that would be called a coma
r: Then i woke up having had the strangest dream of arriving home to find my babysit dressed as a fairy, a late telephone call of which i could not remember one word and my floor covered in brightly coloured feathers
R: And?
r: The funniest thing was it was not a dream - still wondering about that fairy thing....oh well
R: How many times have you woken up fragile in the last week roze?
r: More than one and less than seven?
R: Look at me roze
r: I am trying, if you would only stay still
R: Do you see that picture above?
r: Yes, how lovely - did you do that for me?
R: Yes i did, what is it saying?
r: That i am off to a party in the countryside???
R: Try again
r: Oh my, you are a bore....
R: Shall i bore you with how many bottles you have waiting for recycling? Or how many bars you frequented this week? Or how many cigarettes you were not going to smoke?
r: Perhaps another time?
R: Right roze, time to hop on that wagon
r: It looks an awfully long way from the ground....
R: ROZE!!!!!!!!
r: ok...ok....ok....i am hopping on the wagon
R: I will be watching you roze.....if you don't behave i am going to ensure you remain a blue blot for the rest of your life
r: That makes two nags around here......

But I like having your company on the wagon. :) We can sing children's songs, or dirty ditties - the way my voice has cracked up no one with even think to tempt us down.

(((Hugs))) Just give me a nudge when you need a little support. I'll be right next to you. We'll say "NO!" to common blue splodges for this uncommon hero of mine!

I see many attempts to dodge and weave, dear roze - & Roze sees through it too, huh? We want the best for you...:) (((Hugs)))

Oh Benj - i fear i am a lost case - Roze is right....i found myself just agreeing to meet a friend somewhere later because 'the wine is better' (her words not mine.....) - i would like you to know, however, that i have not had one alcoholic drink for almost 40 hours and no cigarettes for the last three days! That is close to a personal miracle! Don't give up on me yet......

It's no wagon you want roze, it's a double decker bus! That way with a whole lot of us on board you won't be able to hear the phone ring. We could start at 3000 green bottles hanging on the wall - that'll be good for at least a couple of hours - How long on the wagon ? I reckon Roze would think a good long community sing song on the top of a bus would do you the world of good. Benj - are you a singer? I still have my girl guide camp fire song book somewhere - probably not on the top of a double decker bus - but a campfire would be good = we could turn the conkers into bonkers!

I used to sing, but as I stated above, my voice has cracked up - it is pitiful now - but I still think I could remember all the words to American Pie, the long version. I used to meet up with buskers in the city, and join them. We got kicked out of a cafe because we wouldn't stop stinging. It was American Pie that day. (Is there a busker who has not learned American Pie since Don McLean released it?) We could teach roze/Roze Judy Small's songs? Or some Union protest songs? I bet you have a suitcase full of those! I won't be able to hit even half the notes with a 4X2 and some of the rest will sound like nails on glass....but, if it would it still be fun for you and keep roze on the Roziest Red Double Decker Bus we can get hold of, I will do it!!!

((((Hugs)))) We go at a jaunty pace, and sing songs to the rythim of the hooves...with an occasional small pot-hole sincapated dances. You will feel you ar having a great night out - under the stars and a big moon above - before long. Later we'll unwind, toasting marshmallows by a fire, reclining in our hammock/s (your choice, alone or sharing! Me, I think I like the sound of sharing). Flitterbug might too, come to think of it...must ask her... and Harmony... oh why don't I just start a ta and invite anyone/everyone who would like to share....

-Mebenji :) And much like this rosey avatar too....are you planning to change them like changing clothes?

Actually I think that roze might enjoy some Judy Small - but I don't know about Roze - sounds as if she could be a bit bossy to me - I am not convinced I like the way she talks to roze. -

Haven't sung any Judy Small since the trade union choir days - yes that is something to think about.

Judy Small? Toasted marshmallows? Are these really designed to help me stay on the wagon? And Benj i really need to stay on if there is a chance in hell of me getting into a hammock. As for the avatar, I have had so much advice on the colour in PMs i just keep changing it to keep everyone happy. Cos a rose is a rose is a rose......Rxx

Is it a roze? Gosh time for new specs - I was convinced that there was a face there but it did look a bit like HR Puffenstuff

What about a nice piece of cheese Mersey Valley Cheddar soaked in port for 12 months - or is that not allowed? Or a big slap of runny brie from King Island?

I'd stay on the back of a donkey if I had a supply of cheese - nice olives - and I love those little stuffed peppers and some tarama and oh I could go on for ever.

I like rose flavoured turkish delight.

D deary me UM - I cannot imagine what a chunk of port soaked cheese would look like after roze has sucked all the port out of it - & I would much rather not find out! So, thank you very much for your other suggestions, although I will pass on any crustaceans. I do like fresh parsley to eat with my cheese...but if roze is on the wagon, what of my cheese addiction, my salt addiction - if I do not address them and get on the wagon myself I shall be an hypocrite!

I simply expected a rose to represent our dear roze - what else would it be? If I had to make a decision about what I actually think I would see there - unprejudiced by my expectations of seeing a rose - I am not at all sure, maybe a little of my Fun Fungi? it is rather like the colour the Fun Fungi had been.

Other activities, roze, are to help you stay on the wagon. You might even like them. You may even decide that you do not need alcohol or cigarettes to relax or have fun...and time goes quicker when you are busy.

    See, there is a method....:)

Even the hammock - if you cannot get in it you will sleep on the ground.

I saw a very fine hammock recently - it was made of the softest handspun wool - and woven by someone living a dream. Now if I wasn't allergic to wool I'd bring one on the Wagon.- What about an inversion table that would be useful on the Wagon as it wouldn't take up much room, I have one that I can bring. And I quite like to throw darts too - hopeless at the game but like to throw things - Is it necessary to give something up to get onto the wagon?

I could give up sleepless nights?

Yes, sounds good to me, if only because you have children and a husband and yourself to care for and job - these stresses alone are plenty - you don't need to add being over tired to the mix.
