  ouch...wow that was a powerfully emotional brick! Well done! This brick seems to be haunting me like an echo, rattling around inside of me - a feeling that i've had for so long but didn't quite realize it so specifically until now. Even while knee deep in a relationship, I often feel like I am no one's priority? Because it appears to me that most everyone else is someones priority? but often I don't feel like anyones #1, the person they put first over all else...their priorty...Anyways sorry for the long rambly post but that's what i felt when i saw your brick. I hope you find that 'someone' xo

  I think that is part of it but after mulling it over, I must painfully admit to myself that sometimes for me its just that I am so preoccupied trying to be this 'super friend' and/or 'super-girlfriend' that when I stop for a second and take a look around - I am standing by myself. No one else seems to be doing that...well not for me atleast; I become crestfallen. A forsaken emptiness settles over me and I think I push that object of my affection away in the process...which makes me feel even further away and less adored. Ouch. I guess I have to try not to have such unrealistic expectations of others...and myself. Ultimately, I think deep down I also believe maybe I don't deserve the affection I so desire, and it acts like a curse on my romantic relationships. *sigh* How does one stop these vicious cycles? Will true real deep meaningfully reciprocated love forever elude me? :(

  You could think about starting a TA with a question like that. And it would be a good TA also.

  As I read what you have written you seem to have a good understanding and insight about what you are looking for - it isn't actually in another person -isn't it? It is in the way you feel you don't deserve the affection you desire - trying to be the super friend rather than be yourself and be loved for who you are. There is a story here isn't there. I know when you are ready and feeling comfortable you will tell it. It's never about the symptoms is it - it's always about the underlying cause. Be nice to yourself bournestar UM xx
