Your brick story

The girls on this photo are the actual friends I'm talking about and missing terribly. It's been about a month now. We communicate constantly through email, and though it helps to alleviate some of the loneliness, I still feel overwhelmingly alone at times.
But I could never tell them that. They'd never believe how crippled I'd become when they took off for Tokyo without me. They'd never believe that cool, gregarious and independent Alodyah is capable of actually missing someone too much.
And the realization that I could not (and would never) share this emotion with anyone I know is both strangely funny and sad.

It is often the most cool, gregarious and independent that feel the missing most - like the exterior is the top coat that we sense attracts people to us - and the interior holds the inner hidden layers - that may include vulnerability and a host of other emotions - that are so much more difficult to share. Your brick resonates strongly with me - it took me years to be able to sometimes be able to share the interior as well as the exterior - and paradoxically, my friends came closer as a result. As if i was more human and not so self sustaining as i may have projected into the world. What prevents you from saying how much you miss them Alodyah? Hugs roze
