Your brick story

I considered marrying this guy, even though I knew deep down that I didn't love him to begin with (even if I wasn't willing to admit it then). He was the first guy to actually break my heart, and I hate what he's become. But when it's sometimes hard to fall asleep, I pretend he's lying beside me, and there has been one or two times that I've woken up in the middle of the night and still felt his arms around me.

I don't miss him. I never loved him. But I miss how safe he made me feel.

I understand that. I miss safe arms too - i had some last year - in a relationship i knew would never work - but it felt good while they were there. And the memory does help!
